Overview:

We were tasked to create a collection of wearable accessories by extracting, visualizing and trans- lating elements from visual references.

Inspired by Ukiyo, “floating world” in Japanese. It originated in the metropolitan culture of Tokyo during the period of Japanese history, when the political and military power was in the hands of the shoguns, and the country was virtually isolated from the rest of the world.

In the contemporary sense, it is to live in the moment; detached from the bothers of life.

U K I Y O delivers a colllection that aims to capture the instaneity of light and allows one to in- dulge in its optical transluceny and beauty.
